lyrics

You could stand to lose your mind once or twice
For becoming lost is how you outrun your pride
Well I’m here now so I might as well stay a while
But close the floodgate, the dam will break another night

You lock your doors and you reinforce your walls
So I can break them down on my own
You expect me gone when morning comes
But I’ll sleep on your doorstep until you say to be gone

You held my hand like you used to hold your brother
You drag me down cause you know I’ll gladly suffer
Any other man would’ve gladly let you stay there
Out in the rain, but you and I used to breathe the same air

You lock your doors and you reinforce your walls
So I can break them down on my own
You expect me gone when morning comes
But I’ll sleep on your doorstep until you say to be gone
